The 12th Annual Bill Sullivan Scholarship Dinner will be held this evening at Duffy's in Kirkwood. We are excited to welcome Corey Kate Lambert from the Office of Alumni Affairs at Auburn University along with Paul Ellen.
Paul Ellen has been involved with Auburn football in some way for the last 40 years. This fall he begins his 22nd season as radio host for the Auburn IMG Sports Network football broadcasts.
No stranger to Auburn fans, Ellen served as play-by-play announcer for the Tigers during the 1979 and 1980 seasons and later handled the duties for the University of Southern Mississippi. He is also a former news anchor and sports talk show host with WSB Radio in Atlanta.
In his role with the network, Ellen hosts the Tiger Tailgate pregame show live outside Jordan-Hare Stadium, provides updates and halftime features during the game broadcasts and anchors the post-game show from the pressbox.
A 1975 Auburn graduate and native of Gadsden, Ellen is a public relations / marketing specialist in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tonight we also honor our 2011 scholarship winner, Adam Prouty. Adam is a 2011 graduate of Marquette High School. He joins a legacy of Auburn alumni in the Prouty family - both of his parents, a sister, and grandparents are all graduates of Auburn University. Adam plans to participate in Army ROTC and intramural soccer at Auburn. The St. Louis Auburn Club wishes the best for Adam as her pursues a business degree from the school we all love!
